b) The youngest digital immigrant you know.
It was hard for me to think of a young digital immigrant, probably due to the course that I am taking and the family that I have. Though there are a few of my friends that are probably more like digital immigrants than say I am, because they still struggle with computers and new technology, for instance talking to my friend yesterday she didn’t know how to copy something across from a usb on to your hard drive. I think it is quite hard be a young digital immigrant in todays society, especially as so much of uni and school work has to be done on the computer and on the internet, it is bard not to become at least partially adapted.

Are the friends you are talking about who you class as kind of digital imigrants at uni? because i find that my friends back home don't use technology as much as me many of them don't have a profile on a social networkinng site and don't really use computers much. do yiu think this is maybe due to the lifestyle that we lead? as we are at uni we are exposed to using this technology more as we need it.
I dont know what it is but I have to admit that I even use my mobile phone alot less when Im back at home. That may be because we use it alot more here and back home everyone doesnt. I think our lifestyle definately contributes to this though. For example i had facebook before starting university but my page was nothing like it is today, that is most probably down to our university lifestyle.
yes university lifestyle definitely makes you more reliant on technology. Probably because in the library everyone's on Facebook, everyone lives all over the city and therefore mobiles are essential to arrange meeting times/venues, etc.
Kayleigh,
I find it interesting to see that you struggled here to think of an example....it perhaps shows that many people of your age or younger fit into Prensky's terminology of being a 'native'? I think the discussion that follows about University enhancing technological skills is very interesting. Good.
All the best
Emma
